We've been to this place in the past, a very nice place to stop off to have a bite to eat. It's located on the main street of Portlaoise with plenty of seating, clean interior and good quality food, a taste of Japanese cuisine on our doorstep.
Unlike other restaurants that finish taking orders before 9pm this place stays open that little bit longer and you can still enjoy a drink with your meal up until closing time.
Very good Asian restaurant with truly delicious food. We ordered the sushi which was fresh and flavorful, the ramen rich and comforting, and the salmon skewers perfectly cooked. The bento box was also excellent and well-balanced.
I’m giving 4 stars because the music ruined the atmosphere, and the menu design feels outdated and cheap, not matching the high quality of the food. Overall, great cuisine but the ambiance could be improved. Definitely will come back!
I’m very disappointed with the quality of the sushi I received. The rolls were poorly made, falling apart, and looked nothing like proper sushi. The filling was dry and unevenly distributed, with huge chunks stuffed inside instead of being prepared properly. Overall, it looked careless and unappetizing, especially considering the price. This honestly feels more like a rushed homemade attempt than food from a restaurant. I expected much better quality and presentation. I would not order again.
